When planning winter activities for the family, like walking through McAdenville’s Christmas Town light display or going for a carriage ride, it can be helpful to know what the weather will look like.

According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, Gastonia-area residents should factor colder-than-average temperatures into their holiday plans this year.

Gaston weather predictions Winter 2025-26

In December and January, The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts that both temperatures and precipitation will be below average in Gaston County. In February, it expects that temperatures will be at least four degrees above average and precipitation will be slightly above average.

Leading into the winter season, the publication previously predicted below average temperatures for the month of November as well.
