The two men arrested following a knife attack on a London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train are both British nationals, police have said.

Several victims were left fighting for life following a series of stabbings on board the 6.25pm LNER service from Doncaster to London King’s Cross yesterday (November 1).

Ten people went to hospital, nine of whom were being treated for life-threatening injuries. In an update this morning, S uperintendent John Loveless told members of the media that four people had since been discharged. Two are still fighting for life.
