The Fort Collins-Loveland Water District recently completed a land transfer to the Weld RE-9 School District for a 145-acre site west of Pierce that could accommodate a new school.

The school district has no current plans to put a school on the site, Superintendent Andy Lavier told the Coloradoan on Oct. 29, but could do so in the future to accommodate growth in the area.
