Following the shock announcement that Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are bowing out as co-presenters of Strictly Come Dancing , rumours are swirling about who might step into their glittery shoes. ‌

Bradley Walsh, the beloved frontman of ITV's The Chase and current presenter of BBC's Gladiators, has emerged as a leading contender for the role. ‌

Such a move would pay homage to the show's original host, the late great Bruce Forsyth, who presented Strictly alongside Tess, 56, from 2004 through to 2013. Bruce left the BBC dancing extravaganza three years prior to his sad death at 89. ‌
