RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) - Two people were reportedly injured Sunday morning after a shooting at a party in North Carolina.

According to Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, the Rutherford County Communications Center received multiple calls regarding a shooting at a large party on Beams Mill Road in Ellenboro.

The sheriff's office said two people were reportedly injured in the shooting. One was taken to a nearby hospital by Rutherford County EMS and another was taken by private vehicle. Both are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.

The sheriff's office said deputies arrived at the scene and found multiple partygoers had already left the area. Investigators have conducted interviews and collected evidence from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
