ORANGE, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a deadly crash in Orange early Sunday morning.
At around 1:33 a.m. officers were called to the area of Route 34 near the Merritt Parkway interchange after a witness spotted a wrong-way driver, the police department said.
The report said a car that was going westbound in the eastbound lanes of the divided roadway and collided head-on with a SUV ear the intersection with Baldwin Road.
Officials said the driver of the car had to be removed and by on scene firefighters.
He was transported to a nearby hospital but died due to the extent of injuries.
Police have not identified the the driver of the car at this time.
