Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards is being considered for the vacant Wolves job, according to reports. The Premier League club sacked boss Vitor Pereira on Sunday.
Edwards has a strong connection to Molineux from his time there as a player and youth coach and is one of the names in the frame for the job, according to The Athletic .
Edwards made more than 100 appearances for Wolves between 2004 and 2008 and spent time working in the youth set-up before an interim spell in charge in 2016. He also guided Luton Town to promotion before taking on the Boro role in the summer.
However, his contract at the Riverside runs until 2028 and any move would require compensation. Wolves are believed to be considering a number of options.
