NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville International Airport has been cleared of a ground delay that affected flights over the weekend due to staffing shortages, according to officials.

The airport announced Sunday morning that the Federal Aviation Administration lifted the ground delay program on incoming flights, and that the FAA has since implemented a "flow control program." Officials advised travelers to monitor their flight status and contact their airline for updates before arriving at the airport.

The advisory was initially issued Friday, Oct. 31. Travelers at BNA saw delays averaging 67 minutes to 116 minutes.
