In another significant move which could have significant ramifications on power dynamics in the Middle East, US President Donald is poised to host Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, aka Abu Mohammad al-Julani, at the White House later this month. Al-Sharaa’s upcoming visit will mark the first by a Syrian President to Washington in more than 80 years.
