LANDOVER, Md.—While nearly everything went right for the Seahawks in a 38-14 road victory over the Commanders, they did see a couple of defensive starters exit early due to injury.
Starting middle linebacker Ernest Jones IV suffered a knee injury late in the first half that caused him to miss the rest of the game, while cornerback Josh Jobe exited in the first half due to a concussion, the result of an accidental hit from teammate Ty Okada as both players attempted to make a tackle.
Jones was animated on the sideline cheering his team on throughout the second half, hopefully an indicator that the injury isn't serious, and Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said after the game that, while they don't have a timetable yet for the injury, it is not a season-ending type of injury.
