Women in Blue defeat South Africa by 52 runs to become World Champion

Navi Mumbai, November 2, 2025: Indian Women cricket team defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final of the World cup to become World Champion for first time.

South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat first. Indian team made 298 runs losing 7 wickets in allotted 50 overs. In response South African team could make only 246 runs and lost by 52 runs to India.

Indian team led by Captain Harmanpreet Kaur has won first ever World Cup for the country.

Celebrations began in different Indian cities after Indian victory.

PM Narendra Modi and several other leaders congratulated Indian team for splendid victory.
