Nawada, Nov 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing massive rallies in Bhojpur and Nawada on Sunday, accused the RJD of using coercive tactics to force the Congress into naming Tejashwi Yadav as the INDIA bloc’s Chief Ministerial candidate. He said the Congress “relented only after the RJD pointed a katta (country-made pistol) at its head,” symbolising the party’s legacy of “jungle raj” politics.
Modi said the Congress never wanted to back the RJD’s leadership in Bihar but succumbed to pressure. Without naming Rahul Gandhi or Tejashwi Yadav, he said, “The crown prince of jungle raj fears that the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ of the other yuvraj could hurt his prospects.” He predicted post-poll clashes within the alliance, citing friendly fights in several constituencies.
