Los Angeles police arrested seven people on suspicion of various charges as street celebrations took place following the Los Angeles Dodgers’ defeat of the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 to win the World Series.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism of a Metro bus, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Officer Norma Eisenman said. Of the other four, one was arrested on suspicion of battery of a peace officer, one for failure to disperse, one for possession of fireworks and one for injuring an animal after a woman allegedly rode her bicycle into a police horse.
Following the Game 7 win, fans took to the streets in various parts of Los Angeles, including Echo Park, Van Nuys, Pacoima, East Los Angeles and Little Tokyo.
