RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - During a sideshow in Reno at 1:33 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, a vehicle hit a pedestrian then fled the scene, according to a Reno Police Department news release.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

In addition to the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded to the incident at the intersection of Riggins Court and Meadow Wood Lane.

The Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the sideshow investigation.

A sideshow is when vehicles drive recklessly in front of a crowd.

“The Reno Police Department would like to remind the public that these events are dangerous and participation, to include spectating, is a crime,” the news release said.
