BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - For the third consecutive week, the Texas A&M football team is No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 , this time holding its position on an open week.

The Aggies also remain No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

First-place voting did not change in the AP poll from last week with No. 1 Ohio State (8-0) receiving 54 votes, followed by Indiana’s (9-0) 11 and one for the Aggies (8-0).

The last time A&M was ranked No. 3 was in 1995 when they held the position for five consecutive weeks at the beginning of the season. A&M did not have games scheduled for the first two weeks of the poll that year.

Four Southeastern Conference teams remain in the AP top 10, led by the Aggies. They are followed by No. 4 Alabama (7-1), No. 5 Georgia (7-1) and No. 7 Ole Miss (8-1).
