The Indian women’s cricket team were crowned the champions of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Sunday at the DY Patil Stadium with their 52-run win over South Africa.

India posted a total of 298 before bundling out the Protea women for 246 as Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma starred with the bat and the ball as the duo posted a half-century each in the first innings before returning to haunt SA with fifer and a crucial couple of scalps respectively.
