With two days to go until the first College Football Playoff ranking comes out, Michigan didn’t help its case in the weekly AP Top 25 poll.

Michigan stood pat at No. 21 in this week’s AP poll , watching as 6-2 USC leapfrogged it for a better spot. MLive’s Aaron McMann, one of 66 media members with a vote, had Michigan 21st on his ballot this week.
There was no change near the top, with Ohio State still at No. 1, with Indiana, Texas A&M and Alabama rounding out the top four spots.
Georgia, Oregon and Ole Miss held their spots at five through seven, with idle BYU jumping two spots to No. 8. Texas Tech and Notre Dame rounded out the top 10.
