DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- The Mosaic City Church partnered with Walmart to try and alleviate SNAP funding concerns in the community by handing out groceries to families Saturday.

This came after two federal judges said the Trump administration should give them an update on the SNAP program by Monday. But, many are left wondering if their benefits will be reduced and when they'll see money hit their accounts.

“A lot of people don't have hope,” Pastor LeStan Hoskins said. “They don't have food on the table. They don't know what they're going to do. They don't know how they're going to pay bills,”

Hoskins said his congregation is being hit hard.

“We decided as a church we had to do something,” Hoskins said.
