Crestline Village turned festive Friday afternoon as thousands of people lined the streets for the 23rd annual Mystics of Mountain Brook Halloween Parade. Check out these photos from photographer Tosha Gaines.
The Mardi Gras-style tradition, held Oct. 31, featured floats, live music, candy, beads, Moon Pies and T-shirts thrown into the crowd. Families arrived early to claim spots along the parade route, which wound through the heart of Mountain Brook.
Started in 2002 by siblings Trent Wright and Casey Wright Horn, the event has grown from a single decorated car into a citywide celebration. Floats organized by neighborhood groups and families were judged in front of City Hall for creativity and presentation, with winners receiving prizes donated by local businesses.
