Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft, coming off one of the best performances for a tight end in NFL history against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, was injured against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. On a blocking play, Kraft’s right knee was caught in a pile caused by a Panthers defender going low on replacement right guard Sean Rhyan, who was in for the injured Aaron Banks.
Kraft was able to walk off the field with the help of the Packers’ training staff, but he was later carted to the locker room. Officially, Green Bay is calling Kraft questionable to return.
Per the Twitter Doctors™, the worry here is that Kraft sprained his MCL. On the relative scale of brutal knee injuries, this one is just a ripple on the Richter scale, but here’s to hoping for a quick recovery for Kraft.
