FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Just hours after closing Friday, a Fort Wayne restaurant became victim to a crime.

Powers Hamburgers shared Saturday that it was vandalized overnight.

The vandalism resulted in the restaurant opening late, while its team worked to clean and weatherize a damaged window. It reopened at approximately 12 p.m.

The restaurant says that while it is saddened that anyone would intentionally damage its property, it is thankful for its hardworking team and the continued love and support of locals.

According to the restaurant, the vandalism was reported to the Fort Wayne Police Department, which is responding to the incident.
