Another infill fire took down three homes at the corner of 102 Avenue and 133 Street in the wee hours Sunday morning.

Two new single-family “skinny” homes nearly ready to be occupied and a historic 1935 bungalow were gutted by the blaze, the fifth infill construction fire within two weeks in Edmonton.

One of the houses was occupied, but no one was hurt.

The blaze was called in by a neighbour across the street after 1 a.m.

It took until almost 6 a.m. for firefighters to be able to search the properties for potential victims.

Damages are likely “in the millions” said acting deputy fire chief Chris Scott of the Edmonton Fire Rescue Service.

Both houses had rear driveways and detached garages, which didn’t appear to be damaged.
