QUAD CITIES, Iowa (KWQC) - A police chase ended in a crash in Davenport Sunday morning.

Eldridge police officers tried to stop a red car on Highway 61, near mile marker 127, at 1:10 a.m., according to a media release from the Iowa State Patrol.

Officials said a chase started and multiple Iowa State Patrol Troopers and a Scott County deputy found the car on I-80 and Highway 61.

Officers chased the car on Brady Street and Welcome Way before the driver lost control, and crashed at Brady Street and East 36th Street.

Officials said the crash only caused minor property damage.

The driver was taken into custody with help from the Davenport Police Department, officials said.
