The City of Prince Rupert has issued its latest boil water notice, less than a month after the last notice was lifted.
It’s the third boil water notice that the city of about 12,000, has been under this year.
All residents must heat their water to a boil for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth, among other activities, according to a city news release.
The city said the issue is a result of construction on its water distribution network, which began with replacing a 100-year-old dam and has moved onto replacing a significant number of municipal water pipes.
