MERRIMAC — For seasoned gardeners or those just beginning to get a green thumb, Merrimac Public Library's Seed School on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the West Main Street library will offer the opportunity to plant, grow and learn.
It is the mission of Merrimac residents Jennifer Marsden, an avid gardener and creator of the library's pollinator garden, and Jennifer Houle, a public artist, environmental advocate and Greenbelt supporter, to increase community awareness of the benefits of gardening and growing plants from seed. They hope that the growing process, from seed to plant, will foster a common, shared appreciation of all living things.
