LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A crash on Sunday in Lackawanna County leaves three people seriously injured. The crash happened around 12 a.m. along I-81 near mile marker 193 in South Abbington Township.

The crash happened after a vehicle was traveling the wrong way on I-81 north and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The vehicle, which was traveling in the wrong direction, then struck the guardrail and came to a stop on the shoulder of the northbound lane. The second vehicle also struck the guardrail and caught fire in the engine.

The two drivers and one passenger were all said to have been seriously injured as a result of the crash.

This crash is being investigated as a DUI.
