BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A trooper-involved accident on State Route 224 and Pheasant Drive drew responses from Boardman Police and Ohio State Highway patrolmen Sunday afternoon.

A state trooper and another vehicle were traveling westbound on route 224 when OSP says the trooper attempted to make a U-turn in pursuit of another vehicle. The other vehicle hit the trooper's patrol car, causing minimal damage to both vehicles.

OSP told 21 News that the trooper's lights and sirens were not yet activated when the crash occurred. Whether or not the second vehicle crossed over the double-yellow line when the crash happened is also being investigated.

No injuries were reported and the incident is being investigated.
