NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — New Yorkers showed up in a big way for the early voting cycle leading up to Election Day.

As the race for New York City mayor will conclude on Tuesday, New York City residents have made it clear just how interested they are in seeing their candidate win the election.

The early voting numbers in 2025 finished at over four times the amount of check-ins as in 2021, the last time the seat of mayor was up for grabs in New York City.

In 2021, nearly 170,000 people checked in for early voting. In 2025, that number soared to over 735,000, according to the New York City Board of Elections.
