AUSTIN, Texas — City of Austin Utilities is helping people affected by SNAP disruptions during the federal government shutdown.
During the shutdown, Austin Energy is taking a number of actions, including:
Offering a 30-day pause on immediate collections, giving options to households that lose their service.
Providing immediate information on payment flexibility options, including pay arrangements.
Providing direction to possible assistance beyond Austin Energy through the United Way’s 2-1-1 resource line.
