CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 74-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting during an argument on the city's Southwest Side on Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the Little Village neighborhood's 3000-block of South Trumbull Avenue just before 4:15 p.m.

The man was arguing with someone when that person took out a gun and fired shots, police said.

The victim, shot in the chest, was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
