Police on Sunday booked the manager and security staff of a popular restaurant in North Goa for allegedly assaulting a family from Uttar Pradesh, who had come to Goa on vacation.

The family members alleged that the manager, a waiter and some bouncers assaulted them after a miscommunication over a leftover drink and a chair.

A member of the family said in a complaint to police that a bouncer slapped her and tried to pull her shirt, while her brother was hit by an iron pole.

According to police, the family from Varanasi went to the popular club near a beach for dinner on Saturday, at around

11.30 pm.
