Notorious pitch invader 'Jarvo' has been charged by Merseyside Police after slipping past security at Harris Dickinson Stadium and standing arm-in-arm with the Kangaroos during the national anthem before the second Ashes Test.

Jarvo, real name Daniel Jarvis, was dressed in a full Kangaroos kit, which had Jarvo and the number 69 on the back. He put his arm around Cameron Munster at the end of the Kangaroos line-up.

Munster and Patrick Carrigan both looked bemused by his presence but Munster put his arm around Jarvis as the anthem started.

By the end of the anthem, the high shot from the coverage revealed Jarvis was gone.
