An Australian actor of the musical hit Calamity Jane has called out audiences for “groping” cast members, saying they’re getting a little “too liberal” during the immersive production.
Kala Gare, who plays Katie Brown in the show, took to social media on Sunday to say performers had been inappropriately touched for a third consecutive day.
The immersive production allows the audience to part, as the cast sings beloved songs like The Windy City, My Secret Love, and Black Hills of Dakota.
“We’ve had too many times of people coming up and touching people inappropriately,” Gare said in an Instagram clip.
“We’re talking about people grabbing bums, touching ‘ta-tas’. It’s starting to get a little crazy with people feeling a little liberal. Please don’t do it for the safety of everybody.
