A federal court has dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, bringing an end to a widely publicised dispute involving allegations of defamation and extortion. On October 31, US District Judge Lewis Liman of the Southern District of New York formally closed the case after Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer Studios, missed a court-imposed deadline to amend their claims. The plaintiffs had been ordered on October 17 to explain why a final judgment should not be entered, but the court noted they "failed to respond".
