One of the Reds' newest acquisitions just secured one of Major League Baseball's biggest honors.

The award is handed out to the best defensive player in each of MLB's two respective leagues at each position every season.

It is the second time Hayes has won such award, after also receiving it for his defensive performance on the field for his previous team of the Pittsburgh Pirates at third base during the 2023 season.
