A 50-year-old man fatally shot his father, the millionaire owner of a prominent Indian beedi brand, before turning the gun on himself. The tragic incident took place in Vrindavan following a dispute over the accused's drinking habits.

The victim, Suresh Chand Agarwal, was the owner of the Dinesh 555 beedi brand, a company he founded in 1977. He had been battling cancer. Meanwhile, his son, Naresh Agarwal, struggled with a drinking problem, which frequently led to disputes with his father.

On Friday, Suresh Chand and Naresh Agarwal again argued over the latter’s drinking problem. In a fit of rage, Naresh shot his father with his licensed revolver.

Realising the gravity of his actions, he then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the head. Both father and son died on the spot.
