Plymouth live readers have been discussing the news that another section of Armada Way in the city centre has been unveiled as part of the £30 million regeneration project. The council has said this newly opened area offers a "first real glimpse" of the transformation taking shape.
The redevelopment blends thoughtful design, green spaces, and improved views to create a more welcoming environment for walking, resting, and socialising. The council has revamped the previously "cluttered" 1980s layout to open up vistas towards Smeaton's Tower and the Naval Memorial on the Hoe.
The new design echoes the original Armada Way layout, but instead of lawn squares, each segment has been designed to "add interest, colour, trees and foliage and places to sit".
So far, 94 new trees have been plante
