It’s not too late in the season for players to chalk up firsts in their collegiate football careers.

Two true freshmen from Clark County had milestone days on Saturday. Juan Pasillas-Stanton made his first start for Portland State and Luke Webb made his first appearance for Washington State.

Pasillas-Stanton started at center in a 40-35 victory over Cal Poly. Portland State’s offense gained a season-high 502 yards and won for the first time in nine games this season.

At Mountain View High School, Pasillas-Staton was a Columbian All-Region selection in 2024 at offensive line. He also was a track and field standout, setting the school record in the shot put and placing second in state in 2023.

Webb became one of 12 true freshman to have played for Washington State this season in Saturday
