Jake Vancoillie backstopped the Blenheim Blades to two weekend wins and a second-place tie in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Stobbs Division.
Vancoillie made 34 saves and Stefan Jacobs had a goal and two assists Sunday in a 6-4 win over the Amherstburg Admirals before 301 at Blenheim Memorial Arena.
Andrew Goulet, Michael MacKellar, Nelson DeKoning, Carson Roth and Brad McAlpine also scored for the Blades (11-4-0-0), who led 4-0 after one period.
Ex-Chatham Maroon Brody Gillis scored twice for the Admirals (5-8-2-0).
On Friday, Vancoillie made 29 saves for his second shutout of the season and 10th of his career in a 5-0 win over the Dresden Kings.
