In a shocking case from Arunachal Pradesh, police have arrested a man who allegedly posed as an Indian Army soldier to deceive multiple women and commit financial fraud.
The accused, identified as Sangey Choyu, aged 32, hails from Lipakphu village in Kalaktang, West Kameng district. Police say he had been impersonating an Army Naik under the name Lobsang Wangdi Kee from the 9 Assam Regiment.
Using this false identity, Choyu reportedly married two women, one from Pamghar in Lumla subdivision and another from Famla in Tawang, and even fathered a child with one of them.
