Crisp fall days are a perfect time to take a walk along the Milwaukee Trail in Lawrence County.

The 11-mile crushed limestone trail winds along the White River, with access at Williams Dam, as well as at the Bedford National Guard Armory (trail is on the south side) and at the parking lot at John Williams Boulevard and Lincoln Street in Bedford.

The trail was once part of the railroad line that went through the county.
