It's election week, and Cleveland County voters will have the opportunity to choose their local leadership during municipal elections Nov. 4.

Early voting ended Nov. 1.

Clifton Philbeck, director of the Cleveland County Board of Elections, said as of Oct. 30, there were 403 votes cast out of a possible 65,965.

"That is less than 1% turnout so far," he said. "Turnout in local elections is usually lower than in national ones, but they’re just as important because they give you a direct say in services like roads, water, trash pickup and zoning."

What to know on Election Day

Here are five things to know before you go:

On Election Day, voters should be prepared to show photo ID when they check in to vote, but all voters will still be allowed to vote with or without a photo ID.
