Late in the first half of the Buffalo Bills ’ 28-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Cole Bishop laid out Travis Kelce in the end zone.
On third and goal from the one-yard line, Patrick Mahomes looked to hit Kelce in the back of the end zone. Mahomes’ pass was behind Kelce and the hit that the tight end ended up taking was from Bills safety Cole Bishop. Bishop came in with a hard, yet clean, shot to Kelce’s ribs that had the future Hall of Fame tight end down for a few seconds after the play. Kelce would ultimately get up and go into the tunnel early for halftime.
The tight end returned, but the NFL shared a video that showed Kelce may not have taken the biggest shot on the play. It turns out that Mahomes’ errant throw on third and goal actually hit a cameraman.
