LANDOVER, Md. — Rock, meet bottom. That’s the feeling around the Washington Commanders, who exited week nine with their fourth straight loss, their sixth of the year so far, a 24-point defeat, and those turned out to be the highlights.

That’s because, with half of one quarter remaining in a blowout loss, the Commanders were looking to finish strong as competitors do, and paid the price.
