NORTON, Va. (WJHL) — In a Hematology/Oncology practice, every day brings challenges and heart. November's Nurse Of The Month, Elisha Hamilton, comforts her patients, learns their stories and becomes a source of strength through tough battles.

Hamilton works with patients at the Ballad Cancer Center in Norton, Virginia.

"We do Hematology, Oncology, and also the Osteoporosis Clinic," Hamilton said. "My responsibilities, of course, is the daily routine, getting the patients back, going over the information in the system, make sure everything is up to date. Is it supposed to be medications, day-to-day needs of the patients, as far as phone calls from day-to-day."
