A new aviation company has landed at Brantford Municipal Airport.
Jetway, an aircraft inspection, repair and maintenance company, arrived in August after a lengthy search for space.

“I had been looking for hangar space for about a year and explored a lot of different options,” owner Michael Hicks said. “I considered Huronia airport but that was just a bit too far away for me to get the employees I need to work on planes.
“Brantford is a good option because of its location and it doesn’t have all of the fees associated with larger airports.”
Hicks said the workers he needs to work on planes are highly-skilled and most are concentrated in the Greater Toronto Area. Those jobs pay between $50 and $60 an hour.
