The sight was powerful, enough to transport you through time. The Giants’ throwback uniforms evoked images of Lawrence Taylor and Phil Simms, strengthened by the gold helmets and red numbers across the line of scrimmage, worn by Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott in their classic playoff encounters.

Reminders of glory days were joined by the thrill of what could be, should Jaxson Dart begin to sidestep defensive target practice, and unleash his poise, confidence and athleticism upon the league for the next decade or so.
