New Delhi, Nov 3: India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to offer doorstep Digital Life Certificate (DLC) services to pensioners under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, the Ministry of Communications announced on Monday.
Through this collaboration, IPPB, a fully government-owned entity under the Department of Posts, will leverage its vast network of over 1.65 lac post offices and 3 lac postal service providers—including postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks—equipped with digital devices, Aadhaar-based facial recognition, and fingerprint biometric authentication.
