WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WBAY) - This weekend, nearly 400 high school athletes traveled to central Wisconsin to compete in the WIAA state cross country meet.
A number of runners from our area brought home state titles.
Girls Division 1 results
For girls’ Division 1, Neenah’s team won it all for the second straight year.
Every girl on the team finished in the top 40 runners, with freshman Sam Zilm individually taking 4th overall.
Appleton North earned 7th place, Hortonville 8th, and Kimberly came in 11th.
Boys Division 1 results
For the Division 1 boys, De Pere’s star runner, Grady Lenn, took home first place. He was all alone at the front, beating the next closest runner by nearly 20 seconds.
The De Pere boys team finished 4th overall.
The boys team for Neenah took 10th. Green Bay
