On Sunday, Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin made history. The 22-year-old LIV Golf rising star lit up the leaderboard at the International Series Hong Kong Open with a winning score of 27-under.

McKibbin shattered the event’s 72-hole scoring record and posted a jaw-dropping 10-under 60 in the opening round , making a personal and course record that had jaws dropping across the Hong Kong Golf Club.

By the end of the three-day event, he was seven shots ahead of his nearest challenger, Peter Uihlein, to capture the winning purse of $36,000 from the total purse of $2 million.
